Honey has been sweetening lives for at least 3,500 years, as findings of a honeypot from Nigeria show.
And to this day, the delicious sweetener has lost none of its culinary appeal. Orange blossom honey, heather honey, thyme honey, rosemary honey, the variety is great. In the hinterland of the Costa Blanca, beekeepers have established themselves who produce honey according to organic criteria, do without pesticides, use only clay, wood or straw for their hives and, above all, do not clip the wings of the queen bees. In return, the bees do an incredible job, because for 500g of honey they visit up to 7 million flowers. Their flight distance corresponds to three times the circumference of the earth!
