Spain, that is flamenco, but it is also jazz, which has entered into a distinctive melange with flamenco.
Developed in the 1980s by Paco de Lucia, Chano Domínguez, Gerardo Núñez Díaz, Tomatito and other outstanding artists, flamenco jazz has become a specifically Spanish form of jazz.
International jazz greats come together at international jazz festivals such as those in Granada, Barcelona, Madrid or San Sebastián, and it is worthwhile to go on an acoustic voyage of discovery for excellent Spanish flamenco jazz singers, among others.
